Community leaders, and agency representatives along with members of the Great Basin Incident Management Team 4 hosted a community meeting last night at the Leadore Community Center.

Fire activity on the Hayden Fire was minimal last night with a trace of rainfall and occasional heat detected with interior smoldering. Today’s weather calls for sunny conditions and winds from the west to northwest up to 25-30 mph in the northern elevations. These conditions could elevate fire potential.

Firefighters continue to patrol the fire area to locate new fire activity using aircraft and crews.

Six excavators are being used across most of the fire on dozers lines to naturalize the landscape. Hand and engines crews are repairing hand lines and fences in close coordination with local resource advisors and landowners.

Evacuations:  The Lemhi County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the local agencies and Incident Management Team, has identified evacuation zones.  Please visit the Lemhi County at www.lemhicountyidaho.org for a map and explanation of the zones.
