Closures

The purpose of this Order (# 0402-06-66) is to protect public safety during the Lava Fire. See attached closure order and map. 
Lava Fire Evacuation Zone Update, September 20th, 1410 MDT We are removing the ready status for zones 2 & 3 on the Lava Fire.Zones 4 - 6 will remain in "Ready". Valley County Sheriff Copperi is actively engaging with fire officials and will continue throughout the weekend to keep us all updated.

For Immediate ReleaseSeptember 17th, 1445mdtLava Fire Evacuation NoticesThe Gem County Sheriff’s Office has ordered downgrade evacuations from Level II-Yellow-“Be Set” to Level I-Green-“Be Ready” for the following:
Having been advised by fire command, Gem County Road and Bridge Department previously made the following road closures due to fire activity and Fire Personnel, and public safety. These road closures remain in effect.The Sweet-Ola Highway North of High Valley Road is closed to fire and local traffic only.
Gem County Sheriff’s Office issued LEVEL 3 “GO!” Evacuation notices to residents on Third Fork Road (North of Nesbitt Lane), Second Fork Road (North of Nesbitt Lane), and the Sage Hen Reservoir area. Gem County Sheriff’s Office notified the residences in person on September 8th, 2024. A LEVEL 2 “SET” Evacuation has been issued for Nesbitt Lane residents. 
Adams County Sheriff’s Office issued LEVEL 3 “GO!” Evacuation notices to residents south of South Grays Creek and along Little Weiser Road in Indian Valley. A LEVEL 2 “SET” Evacuation has been issued for residents North of South Grays Creek Road to Highway 95, and a LEVEL 1 “READY” Evacuation has been issued for the Mesa area.
Pursuant to 16 U.S.C. § 551 and 36 C.F.R. § 261.50 (a) and (b), the following are prohibited on the National Forest System (NFS) lands, roads, trails in the Boise National Forest and Payette National Forest described below and shown on the attached map incorporated into this Order as Exhibit A (the “Described Area")
