MCSO PRESS RELEASE

July 5, 2023 1:30 PM STOCKTON HILL FIRE INFORMATION

The Stockton Hill Fire began on Tuesday (7/4). At approximately 3:24 PM, dispatch began receiving calls of smoke showing in the area west of Stockton Hill Rd. at milepost 12 north of Kingman. Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management is overseeing fire operations at this time.

EVACUATION ORDERS

--At 9:30 PM on Tuesday (7/4), Red Wing Canyon community was placed on SET status for evacuations. At 10:30 PM, this order was upgraded to GO status. Those orders are current at this time.

--At 1:30 AM on Wednesday (7/5), Shadow Canyon community was placed on SET status for evacuations. Those orders are current at this time.

SHELTER INFORMATION

--If anyone is displaced from their residence or needs family assistance due to evacuation orders, please call the American Red Cross directly at 1-800-Red-Cross.

LIVESTOCK INFORMATION

-- If residents impacted by the fire have a need to temporarily house livestock, please call Mohave County Fair Grounds at 928-753-2600 during regular business hours and 928-716-4502 after hours.
