Alex: Crews on the Alex Fire continue to mop up containment lines directly along the fire’s edge. It has not grown for the last 48 hours.
Weather: Today will be another critical day, as the weather continues to be hot and dry. Thunderstorms impacted areas to the south of us, and the Yeti Fire may be influenced by outflow winds this morning. There is just enough instability and moisture in the atmosphere that a thunderstorm can’t be ruled out, but most convective activity should remain east of the fire area.
