Cedar Creek Fire Smoke Outlook, Sept. 5-6

Special Statement Fire Weather Watch in effect from Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening for dry and unstable conditions.
Fire The Cedar Creek Fire in Central Oregon is 17,625 acres with 12% containment. The fire grew 910 acres yesterday. We are expecting moderate to active fire activity today, with slightly warmer temperatures and lower relative humidity values. Smoke Areas east of the Cedar Creek fire will continue to have the greatest smoke impacts today with La Pine, Sunriver and Bend in the moderate to USG range. Oakridge will have some increase in smoke impacts today with moderate to occasional USG. Easterly flow will bring increasing smoke to Eugene/Springfield early on Tuesday. Expect USG conditions in the morning, improving to moderate in the afternoon.
