Hill Unit Prescribed Pile Burn

Fire crews plan to implement the Hill Unit Prescribed Pile Burn in the Jemez Ranger District as early as January 7th. Depending on weather, ignitions could occur between January 7 to January 10. Ignitions are planned for one day followed by monitoring and patrolling. 

The unit is located 3 miles along Forest Road 376 from the junction of NM State Road 126 and 376 on the hillside adjacent to Fogon Canyon.
