Firefighters are suppressing the Wildcat Fire approximately 40 miles northwest of Wells, Nevada. The approximately 3,500-acre fire is burning in brush and grass.
Hot and dry temperatures will continue across the fire area for the next several days. Red Flag conditions were in affect throughout the burning period and led to large growth starting at 10 am. Dry lightning continues to be a threat for the rest of the week with some chance of precipitation.
