OtherTexas A&M Forest Service (TAMFS) was requested to assist with the Koonce Fire on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 6th. The Koonce Fire is located approximately 5 miles West of Iowa Park off of FM 367, TAMFS is currently working in unified command with local responders, two dozer crews have began constructing containment line with additional dozer crews on the way to assist, aviation resources have also been ordered up to support the ground crews.
