The last several days of rain has decreased fire activity significantly. When fire activity is limited, it gives fire crews opportunities to work on other skills that are necessary when fighting fire in the backcountry. Yesterday, crews on the #BowlesCreekFire practiced an incident within an incident, staging a firefighter struck by a falling tree. The scenario was organized by @aeriemedicine, who is providing medical for the Bowles Creek Fire. The scenario included running the medical scenario from start to finish, completing a medical incident report, patient litter carryout over difficult terrain, and a final debrief/after action review.
