The Poverty Canyon Fire is 100% contained. Crews will return tomorrow for one last look, then turn it back over to the locals to monitor.

 Crews will continue to improve, patrol, and mop up hotspots along the containment lines.  

Fire Weather: Expect a minimum relative humidity value late this afternoon around 22 percent, with values slowly increasing through the evening hours. Winds today will be from the southeast at 5 to 10 mph, with higher gusts. Expect a high temperature this afternoon around 99 degrees. Similar conditions are expected on Saturday with minimum relative humidity values near 25 percent and high temperatures in the upper 90s. Winds will be from the southeast at 5 to 10 mph, with higher gusts. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible tonight into Saturday morning.

The Poverty Canyon Fire had minimal activity today with a few hot spots and isolated smokes. Crews will return tomorrow to continue to improve, patrol, and mop up hotspots along the containment lines.

Crews are returning to the fire again today to continue fire suppression efforts. Dozers will construct and improve containment lines. Engines will patrol and mop up hot spots along the fire perimeter. Aerial resources will be utilized when available.  
 
Fire Weather: Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible this morning, with mainly dry conditions expected this afternoon. Highs today will be in the upper 90s. Expect a minimum relative humidity value late this afternoon around 21 percent, with values slowly increasing
through the evening hours. Winds today will be from the southeast at 5 to 10 mph. Similar conditions are expected on Friday with minimum relative humidity values near 23 percent and high temperatures in the upper 90s. Winds will be from the southeast at 5 to 10 mph.

Location: approximately 7 miles southwest of Tennyson, Texas

Aerial resources were heavily utilized on the fire today. There was a slop over earlier today that was handled by ground crews. Dozer crews constructed and improved containment lines while engine crews patrolled and conducted burn out operations as needed.

Location: approximately 7 miles southwest of Tennyson, Texas.

Late last night, crews continued to work to contain the fire. Today, dozer crews will continue to construct and improve containment line. Engine crews will continue to mop up and patrol, focusing on hot spots. Aerial resources will be heavily utilized when available.  
 
 Fire Weather:  Expect relative humidity values to drop to near 45 percent by 10 AM, near 30 percent by noon, and reach a minimum near 20 percent by 5 PM. Relative humidity values will then slowly increase through the evening hours. Light east to northeast winds this morning will become northeast at 5 to 8 mph this afternoon. The high temperature this afternoon will be around 96 degrees.

Aerial resources were very effective in assisting with fire suppression where access for equipment was not possible. Ground crews continue to construct containment line. Crews will work late into the night to contain the fire.

El trabajo de reparación sigue siendo el enfoque de los bomberos.  Esto incluye excavadores reparando las líneas de contención, las cuales ya están terminando en el incendio Beachie Creek.  Todavía están astillando arboles a lo largo de la carretera 46.  Equipos siguen progresando hacia Brietenbush, pero la carretera esta cerrada para la seguridad de los conductores y trabajadores. 

No se han reportado casos de COVID-19 en el puesto de comando para el incendio Beachie Creek y el personal sigue manteniendo los protocolos de COVID.  Estos protocolos incluyen lavarse las manos, usar mascarillas y mantener 6 pies de distancia.

Se han quitado todos los niveles de evacuación en los condados de Clackamas, Marion y Linn.

Clima y Comportamiento del Fuego: Hoy el clima se mantendrá nublado y frio con 10% probabilidad de lluvia. Un frente rio débil presentara condiciones más secas con niveles de humedad alrededor de 60-70%.  El clima hoy será seco y nublado, con temperaturas alrededor de 58 a 63 °F (14-18 °C).  Habrá leve viento del oeste. La actividad del fuego sigue siendo mínima.

Aunque la actividad del fuego es mínima todavía hay peligros.  Las calles recientemente abiertas, sin pavimentar están lodosas y susceptibles a caídas de piedras a causa de la erosión por el incendio y el viento.  Las áreas quemadas siguen cerradas porque puede haber hoyos de escombros que guardan brasas calientes que humean por largo tiempo después de un incendio, y arboles débiles que pueden caer y causar danos y muerte.  El publico debe buscar actualizaciones de clausuras en los recursos listados:
