Today, ground resources continued to patrol and mop up along the fire line, focusing on hotspots. The fire looked really good throughout the day and received light, spotty rain this afternoon.Tomorrow, crews will return to the fire and continue to mop up and patrol the containment lines. Crews will remain vigilant to changes in the fire area as low relative humidity values and high temperatures are expected tomorrow.

Ground resources will be patrolling the fire and will focus on mopping up any heat along the perimeter. Crews are aware of storm potential and outflow winds and will adjust planned actions accordingly.

Fire Weather: Isolated showers and thunderstorms will bring erratic wind gusts and low chances of wetting rains this afternoon into tonight. Northeast to east winds will prevail with speeds up to 10 mph. Relative humidities will fall to near 36% this afternoon. High temperatures will reach the upper 90s today.

Today, ground resources continued to patrol and mop up along the fire line, focusing on hotspots. Fire behavior was low today with a few interior smokes.Tomorrow, crews will continue to mop up and patrol the fire area while checking containment lines. Crews will also be monitoring the threat of possible thunderstorms in the forecast.

Ground resources will be patrolling the fire and will focus on mopping up any heat along the perimeter. Aerial resources will be utilized for any developments on the fire.

Fire Weather: High temperatures will top out in the upper 90s today under mostly sunny skies with some passing high clouds this afternoon. There is no chance of rain today. Afternoon relative humidity values are expected to be 35%. South winds can be expected with speeds around 10-15 mph with some higher gusts possible.

Ground resources continued to patrol and mop up along the fire line, focusing on hotspots. Some hot spots were revealed this afternoon that were worked with the Type 3 helicopter. The fire has direct handline and indirect dozer line as the containment line. Tomorrow, crews will continue to mop up and patrol the fire area while checking containment lines. The Type 3 helicopter has been requested to be on hold to assist with any hot spots.

Fire Weather: Skies will be mostly clear today with no rain expected. Humidity values will be around 32%. Winds will be from the south at 5 to 10 mph with slightly higher gusts expected. High temperatures will top out in the upper 90s.

Ground resources continued to patrol and mop up along the fire line, focusing on hotspots. Some activity was seen across the fire with internal heat and green pockets burning. Tomorrow, crews will continue to mop up and patrol the fire area while checking containment lines.

Monarch Fire Update July 27 1230 PM

Ground resources will be patrolling the fire and will focus on mopping up any heat along the perimeter. Aerial resources are on hold in case fire activity picks up throughout the day. The fire will have less cloud cover than yesterday and is expecting any heat to reveal itself today.

Fire Weather: Chances of wetting rain will continue through Wednesday. Humidity values will be above 30% for most of the area through Thursday. Winds will be from the southeast to south today. Wind speeds will increase to around 10 mph with some higher gusts this afternoon and fall back below 10 mph after sunset. High temperatures will reach 96 degrees Fahrenheit.
