The plan for tomorrow is to continue to hold existing containment lines, shift resources to problem areas, and utilize ground and aviation resources where needed in rough terrain.

Current fire behavior is light to moderate with increasing behavior, group tree torching, and spotting due to daytime heating.  Plans for the rest of the day continue to be reinforcing containment lines with retardant drops from aviation resources, line construction with dozers, and patrolling and holding existing lines.

Yesterday’s mission of improving, patrolling, and holding containment lines was successful. As of end of shift Thursday, no additional structures were lost and no injuries were reported.  

Aviation support will continue to be utilized in addition to the dozers, engines, and firefighters on the ground. Crews will continue to construct containment lines where possible.

There is a red flag warning in effect today due to shifting winds from a cold front moving into the area after noon.
