Prescribed Fire Preparation:North Ramona Fuel break (map 1) Urban Corp crews continue working on North Ramona West cut/pile work in the crosshatch, area as weather permits.Fry Creek (map 2) – Crews may be working on various preparations for pile burning.Jeff Valley (maps 3-5) – Crews may be working on handlines and various pile burn prep activities.Palomar Fuel breaks (map 6) – Crews may be working on various preparations for burning.

#RamonaFuelBreak #MountLagunaRx #DeerCreekRxThe Descanso and Palomar Ranger Districts in the Cleveland National Forest experienced favorable weather and environmental conditions, enabling the implementation of prescribed fire activities across the Mount Laguna, Deer Creek, and Ramona Fuel Break Projects. Firefighters successfully treated 12 acres in unit 58 off Los Huecos Road for the Mount Laguna Project and 40 acres in unit 6 off Deer Park Road for the Deer Creek Fuel Project. 

#RamonaFuelBreak2/19/24 - Evening Update – Burn operations on the Ramona Fuel Break in the Palamar Ranger District have been successfully completed. Firefighters achieved their objectives of 31 acres successfully. #MountLagunaRx2/19/24 - Evening Update – Burn operations for the Mount Laguna Project in the Descanso Ranger District have been successfully completed. Firefighters achieved 2 acres successfully of their objective. #mountlaguanaRX2/19/24 – The Cleveland National Forest Descanso Ranger district will be conducting a prescribed burn on the Mount Laguna fuel project, contingent on weather and environmental conditions. Firefighters are aiming to cover 50 acres as their target. Residents and visitors will see smoke visible throughout the day in the area of Sunrise Highway, the I-8, and surrounding communities. Please DO NOT REPORT.

2/16/24 - Evening Update – Burn operations have concluded successfully in the Descanso Ranger District at the Cameron, Sunset, and Glencliff Fire stations.  Smoke may still be visible through the night.

#CameronStationPileRx #GlencliffStationPileRX2/16/24 - The Cleveland National Forest (CNF) Descanso Ranger District will be conducting pile burning at Cameron, Sunrise, and Glencliff Fire Stations. Residents and visitors will see smoke visible throughout the day in the areas of 1-8, Pine Valley Community, and surrounding communities. Please DO NOT REPORT. 

#NorthMainRx2/15/24 - Evening Update – Burn operations have concluded successfully in the Trabuco Ranger District. Firefighters were able to accomplish 55 acres today. Smoke may still be visible through the night. 

#NorthMainRx2/15/24 - The Cleveland National Forest (CNF) Trabuco Ranger District will be conducting a prescribed burn on the North Main Project today from 9:00am to 5:00pm as weather and environmental conditions allow. Residents and visitors will see smoke in the areas of 241, I-5, I-15, Riverside and Orange Counties and surrounding communities. Please DO NOT REPORT.
