The Bill's Creek Fire was transferred from Mineral Wells to the North West branch of Texas A & M Forest Service this morning.The fire remains at 35 acres is 80% contained.Currently on the fire there is no smoke showing. Crews are patrolling and monitoring the fire area. They will also be available for Initial Attack if forecasted storms bring lightning.

Daily Update- August 19, 2022The Bill's Creek Fire remains at 30 acres and is 90% contained. Mineral Wells Taskforce Bravo and a Strike Team of engines returns to the fire this morning to continue direct attack on the fire, to build containment line and to mop up within the fire perimeter. Weather: Widespread wetting rains and lower than normal temperatures are expected over the fire area. Light winds and partially cloudy conditions are also anticipated.
