A handline that was constructed by firefighters on the SRF Lightning Complex and Six Rivers Lightning Complex. While this little path may not seem like much against a wildfire, digging handline to remove vegetation is one of the most common ways to fight fires, while causing minimal damage to the land.

A handmade sign, hung on a fence expresses gratitude for the work of firefighters on the 2023 SRF Lightning Complex and Redwood Lightning Complex. While it seems like a small gesture, hanging signs like this is a very simple, yet effective way to thank those who are working on this and other incidents.
Fire works its way up a slope on the SRF Lightning and Redwood Lightning Complex. Steep terrain and an abundance of dead or damaged trees (snags) has been one of the challenges faced by the crews working to suppress nearly 20 fires.
